David Pointer

COUNSEL

David B. Pointer is the founder of Pointer Law Office, P.C. Born and raised in Mountain Grove, Missouri, David started his career with considerable academic success, graduating first in his class at Missouri State University and with honors from Harvard Law School. He worked for one year as a judicial clerk to the Honorable John R. Gibson of the United States Eight Circuit Court of Appeals before joining the Kansas City commercial law firm of Stinson, Mag and Fizzell. In 2000, David and his family left Kansas City to start our firm in Gainesville, Missouri.
 

Just two years after starting our firm, David obtained a $26.1 million judgment from a Laclede County jury. This was one of the largest judgments in the United States and the only judgment in the top 100 of that year obtained by a solo practitioner. David has expanded his practice to focus more extensively on healthcare law. In addition to assisting hospitals and healthcare providers, David has received national recognition for his assistance in developing and implementing 340B drug discount problems. David currently devotes a substantial percentage of his time working for SolutionsRx, a pharmacy consulting company he established in 2011.
 

David's family includes his wife, Michelle, and sons, Thomas and Benjamin. David enjoys numerous hobbies, including various sports, fishing, kayaking, sailing and reading. He also carves out time to participate in his boys' extra-curricular activities.

Jessica Blackburn

PARTNER

Jessica, a native of Mountain Grove, joined our Gainesville office in 2006 and is pleased to continue her career in the Ozarks. Unlike most lawyers in our area, Jessica specializes her practice on serving the business, personal, and transaction needs of her clients. Her primary practice interests are estate planning, healthcare law, probate, business planning and a variety of business transactional matters.

Jessica resides with her husband Gabe, son Hudson, and daughter Regan near Bull Shoals Lake. She enjoys boating, traveling, scuba diving, stand-up paddle boarding, and reading.

Joshua D. Brown

PARTNER

Josh, a native of West Plains, returned to the Ozarks to join our firm in 2009. Working primarily from our Mountain Grove office, Josh focuses his practice on a wide variety of trial-based legal matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, personal injury, criminal defense and civil litigation.


Josh also works with local hospitals and clinics to ensure that they are in compliance with the most recent rules and regulations regarding medical records and patient privacy. Josh was recently awarded the title Certified HIPAA Professional (CHP).

In addition to his work as an attorney, Josh is an adjunct professor of Political Science for Missouri State University.

​

Josh resides with his wife Chelsea, daughter Adeline and son Carlisle in Rogersville. He enjoys camping, canoeing, hunting, and fishing.
